Although it takes a little planning ahead, this very simple bread pudding is so decadent! It makes for a great holiday breakfast or to make your house guests think you slaved away all morning for them. (When you were really enjoying your first cup of Beazley Blend and the Sunday Chronicle…*wink!)
Prep Time: 30mins. ❖ Bake Time: 45-55mins. ❖ Serves: 8
Step 1: Prep the pan
Preheat oven to 325℉. Prepare a 9x13” baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Distribute the cubed bread evenly over the bottom of the pan. To keep the apples from turning brown, rinse in the orange juice (saving the juice for the next step). Then scatter the apples over the bread.
Step 2: Prep the Custard
In a blender, combine remaining ingredients (including the butter!), mixing until combined. Pour custard over the bread and apples, distributing evenly.
Step 3: Bake
Bake in preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until the custard is set. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
Plate with fresh fruit and vanilla yogurt, or your favorite syrup.
