This is December in Napa

This is December in Napa: Beautiful fall colors still linger on the trees and the Beazley House gardens continue to be blooming beautiful! While Jack Frost threatens to end our flowers for this year, he has waited until perhaps New Year’s Eve! Christmas decorations are up, crowds are gone, and of course within walking distance are 26 wine tasting rooms, world-class restaurants and the Oxbow public market! Now CIA at the Oxbow public market has just opened too. There’s a lot to explore.
This year there are Carriage Rides – Thursdays, Dec. 7, 15, and 22, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM: Enjoy free horse drawn carriage rides through downtown Napa. It’s one of the best ways to enjoy the Holiday lights on all the buildings and check out the Christmas windows, while snuggling with family. Carriages depart every fifteen minutes from the Napa River Inn at the Hatt Building on Main Street. Spend the time between rides shopping and dining in beautiful downtown Napa.
Napa town is bustling with activity consider a ride on the Christmas-decorated trolley. Seasonal music will be playing as it travels between four regular stops – the Oxbow Public Market, Historic Napa Mill, First & School Streets near the Andaz Hotel and Main and Pearl streets — on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Christmas Eve from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Beazley House has never looked more festive! Miss Veronica has done her usual magic and the inn looks like a Victorian Christmas Card. This is a great time of year to visit the Beazley House to enjoy sitting by the fireplace in the parlor enjoying a glass of Sherry or cup of hot mulled wine and some of our delicious homemade Beazley House Chocolate Chip Cookies. The Inn will become your home away from home on the holidays.
Music is in the air, the Jason Marsalis Vibes Quartet is performing from Friday, December 16 to Sunday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at Blue Note Napa.
